A CUS code serves as a reference number to the European Customs Inventory of Chemical Substances (ECICS). Based on the CUS code, the European Regulation on the Production and Trade of Chemical Substances (REACH Regulation EC 19072006) determines the applicable rules governing the production, use, or import of the substance.

How to look up the CUS code

The CUS code can be retrieved from the ECICS database, which houses approximately 50,000 records. An even more convenient method is to directly look up the CUS code within Taric Support. All CUS codes are integrated into Taric Support and linked to commodity codes, making it effortless to find the correct CUS code and saving you valuable time.
